THE FATS:
- Unsaturated Fats: A fat with one or more electrons in an atom; making a fat molecule.
a. Monounsaturated = 1 bond
b. Polyunsaturated = 2 or more bonds
--> Examples of Unsaturated Fats: Olive Oil, Salmon, Almonds, Natural Peanut Butter, and Avocados - Saturated Fats: Fat molecules that have no double bonds between carbon molecules; they are instead saturated with hydrogen molecules.
--> Examples of Saturated Fats: Lamb, Pork, Butter, and Cheese. - Trans Fats: A trans fatty acid that is made chemically process of hydrogen of the oils.
4. Intake of all the fats can affect your overall health good or bad. If you have too much of one fat compared to another than that can be bad for your health. Just like LDL and HDL you have to have a balance, otherwise also the Cholesterol levels will drop or be bad and you can land in the hospital or die because of a heart attack or stroke.
