Patient and Doctor Information About LDL and HDL
- Doctors monitor LDL & HDL in a couple of ways. LDL creates plaque in the arteries. They can prescribe the patient medication to balance their LDL & HDL levels.
- If there are too much LDL in the Patient's Arteries then the Arteries will harden. If there is not enough Blood and Oxygen going to the heart because the Arteries are blocked then the Patient can experience a heart attack and/or a stroke.
- Besides LDL and HDL, the molecules that are monitored are: Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, and Blood Cells.\
- The Results on the Cholesterol Test are numbers. The results vary between each specific Patient, becuase each patient has different medical history and risk factors. Some risk factors are: smoking, family history of heart disease or any disease, cancer, diabetes, etc. The Patient's results are based on their family history, risk factors, and what they got.
- A Patient can change their LDL and HDL levels in many ways. Some known ways are: healthy diet, More of HDL and Less of LDL, exercise that is the same constant one for 30 minutes a day for 5 consecutive days. Also for every 6 lbs that the patient loses, raise the HDL one level and lower the LDL level one.
